Pregnancy is probably one of the most exciting moments in a woman’s life. There are many wonderful things will happen in the next nine months, that you can really enjoy. However, in some women, there is a condition that can turn your pregnancy into quite a difficult time: nausea and vomiting, or people used to call morning sickness. Although morning sickness is becoming common in the pregnancy first stages, it does not mean that you cannot do anything to reduce it. Anyway, this is your precious moment, so don’t let anything ruin your excitement!

Morning sickness usually occurs in the pregnancy first stages, which starts in the 4th week, get worse around 6th and 8th week, and then decreasing when you enter the 12th week of pregnancy. The rapid increase of hormone level in the blood is the culprit of morning sickness you had. The hormone change is needed for your body to prepare your womb and your body for developing the pregnancy. It might takes a while for your body to adjust with the hormonal changes, which will trigger morning sickness.

Morning sickness is basically not dangerous for you nor for the baby. However, in some cases the vomiting could gone so bad that the mother can lack of food and fluids in her body. And when this continue over several days, it can cause dehydration and malnourishment, which may lead you to the hospital for intensive care and diagnosis.

So, before all of those problems come and ruin your pregnancy, you can try these natural diet as well as medicational methods to ease and reduce nausea and vomiting during pregnancy,

Avoid the trigger

What causes vomiting could be vary between one woman to another. Cooking smell often causes nausea. That’s why it is recommended for women in pregnancy first stages to avoid strong smelling cooked food (especially Asian dishes which is rich of onion and garlic). In a severe nausea condition, some women might have nausea just because they eat their regular food. In this case, you can eat anything that you can take, ignoring the nutrition level in it. The most important thing is that you still have some food entering your body.

Water or other fluid is also important to avoid dehydration. If you cannot take water, try to add few drops of lemon in it. Drink as p 1000 lenty of fluids as you can in regular sips during the day.

Snack upon waking-up

Having tea and biscuits or crackers early in the morning is believed to reduce morning sickness. If you have severe nausea, take peppermint tea or ginger tea with some ginger biscuits or cakes. Ginger is an ancient method of using natural herbs to reduce nausea.

Small frequent meals

Pregnant women are recommended to have small but frequent meals to relieve nausea symptoms. You can have healthy foods every 2 hours from these choices,

Toast and jam (without butter)

Crackers or plain biscuits

Fruit salads (apple, tomato, banana)

Yogurt

Soup with toast

Cereal with low fat milk and banana

Sandwich with low fat spread

Hard boild eggs

Besides heathy diet, pregnant women should take vitamins to ensure both mother and baby’s health.

Taking 10-25 mgs of Vitamin B6 can ease the morning sickness, while Vitamin K and C can relieve some symptoms while taken together. If you have severe morning sickness but do not fond of gingery taste, you can substitute ginger tea with 1 gram encapsulated ginger powder per day.

Last but not least, remember that positive attitude can always help you in any conditions, including the uncomfortable period during your pregnancy first stages. So, always think positively, of your pregnancy and of your baby.

There are many common early pregnancy symptoms. Discharge from the vagina is almost universal in the early weeks of a pregnancy. This increase in the discharge is due to the increase in the growth of the cells lining the vagina. The walls naturally start to thicken as soon as the egg is fertilized and this thickening can cause you to have a discharge of a white, milky fluid. The medical term for this fluid is leucorrhea and is harmless so it doesnt need any treatment. This discharge may actually continue throughout the pregnancy.

If you notice that the discharge has a foul odour, then this could be the symptom of a bacteria or yeast infection. Other symptoms of this that will require you to have medical treatment in the form of creams and vaginal suppositories include itching and burning sensations. Douching will not have any effect on the normal discharge you experience during pregnancy.

Other early symptoms of pregnancy that you can watch for in addition to missing your normal menstrual period include:

Morning Sickness. This is common in the first trimester of pregnancy and the name comes from the fact that most women have nauseous feelings early in the morning. Nausea and queasiness can occur though at any time of the day or night. You may also develop an aversion to foods you once loved to eat or to the smell of certain foods being cooked. These food aversions and the nausea are not harmful and are a normal part of carrying a baby in the womb. The sick feelings tend to abate at about the 13th or 14th week, although some women continue to feel sick all through the pregnancy. Some helpful hints include having dry crackers ready to settle your stomach and eating small meals more often so that you dont feel hungry.

Constipation. This complaint affects a large proportion of pregnant women. It is largely due to an increase in the body production of progesterone which decreases the colon ability to absorb water from the food you eat. Drinking more milk than you usually do can also cause bouts of constipation. This problem tends to worsen just after the first trimester. You can help ease the problem by making sure you drink plenty of water, getting plenty of exercise and including foods high in fibre in your diet.

Dizziness or Fainting. Many pr 1000 egnant women first find out they are pregnant after they faint and then go to the doctor to try to determine the cause. It is also more noticeable in the second trimester when you get up or move suddenly. During pregnancy the blood vessels dilate at a dramatic rate and the amount of blood may be too much for the vessels. This is what causes the dizzy or fainting spells.

Fatique. Feeling more tired than usual is a very common early sign that you may be pregnant. The blood is carrying more oxygen to the fetus in the womb, which causes your heart to beat faster and in turn causes you to feel fatigued. Take naps during the day or if this is not possible start going to bed earlier at night. Eating foods that are rich in protein and iron can also help to reduce the feelings of tiredness.

Dealing With Morning Sickness During Pregnancy

For a majority of pregnant women, the toughest part about the first phase of pregnancy is bouts with morning sickness. Morning sickness refers to those symptoms that pregnant women experience such as vomiting and nausea. The symptoms affect approximately 75 percent of pregnant women.

What Is Morning Sickness?

Morning sickness is a symptom that is difficult to understand. This is because there are plenty of other signs that are related to the symptoms. But the problem here is when the woman may not actually be pregnant. For example, there are plenty of factors other than pregnancy that can cause nausea and vomiting. Moreover, the bouts with the symptoms may not necessarily occur during the morning. Some women experience the vomiting and nausea at night or in other parts of the day.

How Can Morning Sickness Be Treated?

Because the signs of morning sickness is similar to those that will be felt during ordinary days, a pregnant woman may be tempted to take in her regular medication to relieve the symptoms. Doing this is a very dangerous decision because it may entail risks during pregnancy, which may even imperil the health of the mother or child or both. That is why treatment of morning sickness commonly considers the application of home treatment. Home treatment is better than medicines because they are cheaper and has no harmful effects during pregnancy. Home treatment methods include the following:

1) Avoiding foods and smell that makes a woman sick

2) Preparing a ginger tea by lightly pounding ginger and then set to boil. Drinking the tea will help reduce the symptoms of morning sickness.

3) Changing the patterns of eating, what one eats and the quantity of the food taken.

4) Occurrence of Morning Sickness during Pregnancy

Morning sickness usually starts during the sixth week of pregnancy. The condition persists up to around the twelfth week of pregnancy. In rare cases, the signs may even persist up to the end of pregnancy. Despite the length of time that a pregnant woman will experience morning sickness, there are no known harmful effects of the condition on the health of either the child or the mother. In this case, it is best to keep the condition 1000 as it is, keeping in mind that all of it is part of the natural process of pregnancy. However, there may come a time when the condition becomes so annoying that it becomes very tempting to take medication. When one should decide to take medications, make sure that the doctor has prescribed them.

What Is the Best Way to Handle Morning Sickness?

The best way to handle morning sickness is to take food only in moderation. Doing so will diminish the chances of vomiting, which is partly caused by a full stomach. Another thing to consider is that a small intake of food will allow the stomach enough time for better digestion. This will in turn assure the body of better consumption of the needed nutrients.

When Does Morning Sickness Start, When Does It End And When Will I Feel Normal Again?

Pregnancy hormones can drive even the most experienced mum crazy. Morning sickness may last days or weeks or the entire length of your baby’s developmental life. Historical pregnancy patterns can answer the inquiries of when morning sickness starts and when it ends, but it is not an exact science.

Most women who have experienced this side effect of pregnancy will agree that it will begin and end at times that are most unpleasant and inconvenient for them. If asked "when does morning sickness start in your day" – many will answer that they wake up to their morning crackers next to their bed. Others will answer that theirs doesn’t let them sleep all night.

Morning sickness is very personal, and people who have not experienced it (especially men) can not often understand its debilitating effect. A woman who is full of hormones and has to add pregnancy and nausea on top of that has to survive for nine months in her own little topsy-turvy world. Looking forward to being normal again may be all that she has to inspire her to move out of the bathroom.

Many studies that evaluate when morning sickness starts and when it ends focus on a more serious type, hyperemesis gravidarum. US studies tended to use women from a higher socio-economic background, or only question women’s perceptions of their sickness towards their last semester. However, a two year study printed in the British Journal of General Practice studied the start and end of morning sickness – and used women from all socio-economic backgrounds.

Medical researchers began questioning women after their first menstrual period was missed, and had mid-wives visit the pregnant women on a regular basis. In this study, 80% of the pregnant women experienced it. When the evaluation was being made, 72% began their feelings of sickness between the 29th day and the 49th day from missing their first menstrual period.

When evaluating when it ends for these women, the study found that 60% were lucky enough to have their morning sickness end by the 84th day after missing their first menstrual period, and over 90% had stopped feeling sick by the 112th day. When morning sickness starts and ends are questions that haven’t undergone much scrutiny in the medical community.

Trends and medical records can demonstrate the likelihood of determining when it should start and end, but trends and statistics don’t account for your unique pregnancy hormones. When the feel of being sick starts and ends can only truly be known when you can answer the question "what does morning sickness feel like." Don’t worry, the monster will finally go away and you’ll be able to get out of bed and start chasing your baby around instead of racing for the nearest toilet. But after baby is born, you’ll still be living in your topsy-turvy world, and you’ll never be "normal" again. Forevermore, you’ll be better than normal.

How To Reduce Morning Sickness In Pregnancy First Stages

Drink as plenty of fluids as you can in regular sips during the day.

It will normally occur in the first trimester or your pregnancy and end by the second, this isn’t the case in all pregnancies though. Some women will continue with it until the very end of term.

Nausea can happen immediately or you may get lucky and have no morning sickness at all. No one is for certain what causes morning sickness, it is a change in the body that happens during pregnancy. Many women seem to get sick after taking the prenatal pill, try taking it later in the day. Your doctor may even advise you to take some other form of vitamin instead of the pill. Always find out first with your doctor before taking anything new or taking yourself off medication, even prenatal pills.

There are a few ways to minimize the sickness, but they don’t work for everyone. Try keeping crackers on hand, I prefer saltines for some reason. Try drinking some ginger ale, it calms the stomach down. Dry cereal is another good thing to eat, your stomach may just be a little bit hungry and trying to tell you. Remember to take small portions, this way you know if it is all going to come up or not. Sleeping is another good way to avoid it, however it will wake you up. Keep yourself hydrated, not only can this make your sickness come but you can become dehydrated and need to go to the emergency room if you aren’t careful.

Smells is another thing that seems to cause morning sickness. Imagine walking into a restaurant and the first thing you smell is grease. Yes, this can easily set it off. Bad smells and even certain tastes, get the feel for your body during the pregnancy and figure out just what sets it off. Knowing how to avoid it, can make a world of difference.

A few reasons you should go to your doctor would be if you begin losing weight because you are constantly sick. If you become dehydrated, faint, look pale, confused or throw up more than four times in a day. Your doctor may be able to prescribe something that will stop it.

Try slowing down a bit, sometimes your body is just exhausted from all the errands you are running and it tries to give you a break. Listen to your body, take a nap, relax and watch a television show…take some time off. If you are looking for remedies for your morning sickness, you may try buying some pregnancy pops. Or if you’d prefer to stay away from the sweets you can wear a bracelet designed to stop morning sickness, they are just like the motion sickness bracelets. They don’t work for everyone but they could work for you.
